Routing Inbound Calls
Use the
Inbound Calls
page to specify the call destinations for inbound calls. You
can keep all FXO ports and SIP/BRI phone numbers in the Default Route, or create
custom routing groups. You can specify different call destinations for day and
night. Night routing is triggered by a Force Night button on a user’s phone or by a
schedule that you enable.
NOTE
These settings do not apply to FXO ports that are configured as shared lines. The
inbound calls for shared lines are routed to the group members’ phones.
TIP
Opening this page: From the navigation pane, choose
Call Routing > Inbound
Calls
.
Updating the default routing group:
To change the name of the group, simply type your text in the
Routing Group
Label
field.
To move phone numbers to other groups, see “Moving a number to a new routing
group” and “Moving a number to an existing routing group,” below.
In the
Ring
area, choose the call destination. If you enabled Day/Night Call Routing
on the
System Automation
page, you can choose different destinations for
Day
and
Night
, or set night service to
Same As Day
. The system will follow the
schedule from the
Schedule
page). When needed, you can override the schedule
by pressing a Force Night button on a user's phone. (To add Force Night button to a
user’s phone, see
Configuring the Phone Buttons for Users, page 88
