Step 4
Click Obtain an IP address automatically.

Click Apply.
Step 6
Select the DNS tab and enter the DNS server information supplied by your cable service
provider.
Step 7
Click OK.
Step 8
Restart the computer to force it to obtain a new IP address from the DHCP server.
Note
Your service provider might have their own configuration instructions that are needed
to access their services. If so, please complete those procedures now.

Choose Start>Settings>Network and Dial-up Connections:Local Area Connection.

In the Local Area Connection Status window, click the Properties button.
