Configuring the Global Timeout Interval
You can set a global timeout interval that the Nexus 5000 Series switch waits for responses from all
servers before declaring a timeout failure. The timeout interval determines how long the

To configure the timeout interval for a server, perform this task:

tacacs-server timeout

Specifies the timeout interval for servers.
The default timeout interval is 5 second and the
range is from 1 to 60 seconds.
Step 3
switch(config)#
exit
Exits configuration mode.
Step 4
switch#
show tacacs-server
(Optional) Displays the server
configuration.
Step 5
switch#
copy running-config startup-config
(Optional) Copies the running configuration to the
startup configuration.
