Fan Tray for the Cisco Nexus 2248TP-E FEX
The Cisco Nexus 2224TP, 2248TP, and 2248TP-E FEXs use the same fan tray that you can order with
either port-side exhaust airflow (N2K-C2248-FAN) or port-side intake airflow (N2K-C2248-FAN-B).
The fan tray includes a status LED that indicates whether the module is operational. You can hot swap
the fan tray during operations.
Caution Make sure that all of the fan tray and power supply modules use the same airflow direction and have the
same color designation on the front. Otherwise, the switch can over heat and shut down,
Figure 2-8 shows the fan tray with port-side exhaust airflow (no black stripe on front) and identifies its
components, and Figure 2-9 shows the fan tray with port-side intake airflow (black stripe on front) and
identifies its components.
