Storm Control Statistics
To view Storm Control statistics:
STEP 1
Click
Security
>
Storm Control > Storm Control Statistics
.
STEP 2
Select an interface.
STEP 3
Enter the
Refresh Rate
—Select the how often the statistics should be refreshed.
The available options are:
•
No Refresh—Statistics are not refreshed.
•
15 Sec—Statistics are refreshed every 15 seconds.
•
30 Sec—Statistics are refreshed every 30 seconds.
•
60 Sec—Statistics are refreshed every 60 seconds.
The following statistics are displayed for Unicast, Multicast and Broadcast storm
control:
•
Multicast Traffic Type
—(Only for Multicast traffic) Registered or
Unregistered.
•
Bytes Passed
—Number of bytes received.
•
Bytes Dropped
—Number of bytes dropped because of storm control.
•
Last Drop Time
—Time that the last byte was dropped.
STEP 4
To clear all counters on all interfaces, click
Clear All Interfaces Counters
. To clear
all counters on an interface, select it and click
Clear Interface Counters
.
Port Security
NOTE
Port security cannot be enabled on ports on which 802.1X is enabled..
Network security can be increased by limiting access on a port to users with
specific MAC addresses. The MAC addresses can be either dynamically learned
or statically configured.
Port security monitors received and learned packets. Access to locked ports is
limited to users with specific MAC addresses.
