Before the first use

· Start by carefully reading the instructions for use and the safety instructions.
· Then remove all packaging materials and dispose of them properly.
· Please only wipe off the housing with a soft cloth (slightly damp, if necessary).

Attention:

Do not use any abrasive cleansers when cleaning!

· Clean the jug, water tank lid and filter by hand with warm water and a mild

detergent.

· Before using for the first time, after decalcifying, or after the device has been

out of operation for a long time, we recommend rinsing the device at least
once.

· To do this, fill the water tank with cold tap water until the maximum 10 cups

mark is reached, and put on the water tank lid. Do not use a paper filter or
coffee powder.

· Place the coffee pot on the heating plate and switch on the appliance. Wait

until the complete amount of water has run through and then pour the water
away.

· The machine is now ready for operation.

Use

· Place the coffee maker on a level, stable and heat resistant surface. Protect

sensitive surfaces from splashes that may occur.

· Ensure sufficient free space above and near the appliance to avoid overheating

or damage from hot water vapor.

· Remove the lid from the water tank and fill the tank with the desired amount

of water. Always fill between 2 cups (minimum) and 10 cups (maximum) and
use cold tap water only.

· Put the lid back on. Make sure that the ventilation slots, marked with the word

“Back”, are pointing away from you. The opposite word “Front” now points to
the water tank scale.

· Open the swiveling filter holder to the left in direction of the arrow.
· Insert the filter in a way that the handle can be folded to the left. This way it

lies straight on the edge.

· Fold a paper filter size 4 at the perforated edges and put it in the filter. The

paper filter may not protrude from the rim of the filter, press it down slightly with
the hand.

· Fill the desired amount of coffee powder.

· Swivel the filter holder back to the right until it clicks into the closure and insert

the plug into a suitable socket.

Attention:

Please ensure that the power cord

does not touch any hot surfaces of the housing.

· Close the lid of the coffee pot and put the pot on the heating plate.
· Switch on the appliance by pushing the ON / OFF button, which lights up in blue.
· The coffee is ready as soon as the whole amount of water is used up from the

water tank and no more coffee has dripped into the pot for around
30 seconds.

· The coffee machine is equipped with a anti-drip function that closes the filter

automatically as soon as you remove the coffee pot. We recommend however
to put the pot back as soon as possible to prevent the filter from overflowing
during the brewing process.

· You can leave the machine switched on to keep the coffee warm. Please

note, however, that the coffee will evaporate with continued heating. If there
is only a small amount of coffee remaining in the pot, we therefore
recommend switching off the machine.

· Push the ON / OFF button to switch off the machine, the control lamp goes off.
·

Attention:

To prevent from unnecessary power consumption and for safety

reasons the coffee machine will switch off automatically around 35 minutes
after the end of the brewing process.

· After use always pull the plug from the socket and allow the appliance to cool

down.

Cleaning and care

Always

pull out the power cord before cleaning and allow the appliance to

cool down.

· Do not use any sharp or pointed objects, benzine, solvents, scrubbing brushes

or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning.

· Clean the housing with a dry or lightly dampened cloth only.
· Please do not clean the coffee maker in the dishwasher or immerse it in water

or other liquids.

· Clean the coffee pot, the water tank lid and the filter by hand with warm water

and a mild detergent. Do not clean these parts in the dishwasher.

· Make sure that the appliance is completely dry before using it again or storing it.
· Make sure to remove the paper filter with used coffee grounds from the filter

after each brewing process.
