Maintenance
8.1
Cleaning the camera
During operation of the camera, particles such as dust may be settled on the optical
components (lens) of the camera. These deposits negatively affect the optical image and the
function of the camera.
Cleaning intervals
The cleaning intervals depend on the environmental conditions. Regular inspection and
cleaning intervals must be specified depending on the degree of soiling.
CAUTION! Hot camera surfaces!
The camera body heats up during operation. Touching the camera surface may cause
burns.
Switch off the camera and let the surfaces cool down to room temperature.
NOTICE! Damage by unsuitable cleaning agents!
Do not use other liquid or cleaning agent than those stated in this manual.
Never use hard or sharp tools for cleaning the camera.
Cleaning process
1. Wipe all surfaces requiring cleaning with a soft, lint-free cloth which may be moistened
with Isopropanol.
2. Inspect the camera and make sure that the cleaning was effective. Repeat the cleaning, if
necessary.
If the contamination of a component cannot be removed by cleaning, it must be replaced.
