6.11 Preparing the camera for white balancing and black (offset)
level correction
A non-glossy white reference without texture and impurities (e.g., dust, scratches) on its
surface is available.
1. Turn on the camera and the illumination.
2. Adjust the illumination brightness to the operating conditions.
3. Put the white reference into the FOV and in the correct working distance of the camera.
4. Open the CST.
5. Select the port where the camera is connected (port of the frame grabber).
6. In the
Camera Settings
make the following settings:
If the 3DPIXA dual camera is used, the settings must be identical for both cameras. For
this open the CST application for each camera.
For the 3DPIXA dual camera the timing and trigger parameters have to be set only for the
master camera.

7. Open the
Encoder setup
page (see Fig. 29, p. 58) by selecting the corresponding toolbar
icon.
8. Make sure that the encoder is disabled (
no
checkmark in the
Enable encoder
box).
9. Save the settings in the volatile memory of the camera.
