Determination of the maximum integration time
Relationship between the maximum line frequency and the minimum possible integration time:
Minimum integration time (s) =
1
Maximum line frequency (Hz)
Calculate the maximum possible integration time for your application using the following
formula:
Maximum integration time (s) =
Desired transport resolution (mm/pixel)
Nominal transport speed (mm/s)
If the transport resolution is stated in dpi and the speed in metric values, the values have
to be converted (1 inch= 25.4 mm).
Example (3DPIXA camera CP000470-C01-015-0040)
Line frequency of the camera: 21.2 kHz
Minimum integration time =
1
21200 Hz

Nominal transport speed: 200 mm/s
Transport resolution: 15 µm/pixel
Maximum integration time =
0.015 (mm/pixel)

Set the integration time minus 10 % of the maximum integration time to avoid a speed,
which would be too high for the camera.
