Fig. 4.2 [Pulse measurement] Dialog Box
1)
PRF/IFBW configuration
: if one parameter is changed, the associated parameters will change accordingly.
a)
Pulse Repetition Frequency (PRF)
: set the frequency of the pulse generated by the pulse generator.
b)
Pulse Repetition Interval (PRI)
: set the pulse generation interval of the pulse generator.
c)
Receiver IF bandwidth
: set the intermediate frequency bandwidth of the analyzer, 1Hz to 10Hz.
d)
Fixed PRF
: if this item is selected, PRF will not change with the receiver bandwidth.
2) Modulation/Gates
a)
Width
: pulse width.
b)
Delay
: delay before pulse generation.
3) Duty Cycle:
if [Calculate] is pressed, the duty cycle of the source and each reception channel will be
automatically calculated and displayed.
a)
Pulse Mode ON/OFF
: if this option is selected, the pulse function will be enabled.
b)
Apply
: if this button is pressed, all the configurations will take effect.
Attention
Setting of pulse duty ratio:
The prerequisite of narrow-band pulse calculation is to set the pulse duty ratio no more than 90%. But the
calculated pulse duty ratio may exceed 90%. In this case, the calculation result will prevail.
4.3 Pulse Envelope
Click the
[Pulse Envelope]
button in the [Pulse measurement] dialog box or click
[View] > [Pulse Envelope]
in
the menu to recall the [Pulse Envelope] dialog box. If this dialog box is gray and unavailable, select
[Pulse Mode
ON/OFF]
and click
[Calculate]
and
[Apply]
. The [Pulse envelope] dialog box is shown in Fig. 4.3.
