III. ADJUSTMENT
Start Adjustment
To adjust any of the CHI panel’s functions,
follow these steps:
Press and hold the ADJUST button; then,
press the ENTER button. Release both
buttons. The SELECT ADJUSTMENT
menu displays as follows:

INL TRN SPR FEED IRN CHI
The flashing cursor is under CHI.
Press the CURSOR button until the flash-
ing cursor is under the desired adjustment
area:
INL is used to make adjustments to in-
let settings. See Inlet Adjustments .
TRN is used to make adjustments to
transfer settings. See Transfer Adjust-
ments .
SPR is used to make adjustments to
the spread settings. See Spreader
Adjustments .
FEED is used to make adjustments to
the discharge settings. See Discharge
Adjustments
.
IRN is used to make adjustments to
the feeder/ironer speed interconnect
settings. See Ironer Speed Interlock
Adjustments .
CHI is used to make adjustments only
to the currently running program. See
Program Adjustments .
Press the ENTER button. The appropriate
adjustment menu displays.

Sometimes it may be necessary to adjust various
settings in order to fine tune the performance of
the unit. In addition, adjustments can be made
to better coordinate the speed of the machines
in the line.
There are six adjustment areas available. Five
of them are global in nature; that is, they affect
all machine operations and programs. One is
program specific and affects only the currently
running program.
NOTE: In order to eliminate
accidental changes, only qualified
supervisors should have access
to the programming section of the
CHI control panel.
WARNING
Never touch any part of the
machine while it is running.
Serious injury could result.
Only trained repair personnel
should work on the unit.
Always think carefully
around moving machinery.
NOTE: Work with another
person. The “buddy system” is
the safest system.
