Transfer Clamp Assembly
Replacement
Removing the Assembly
Required Tools
7/16” wrench, 1/8”, 3/16” Allen keys,
Phillips screwdriver, Loctite
®

thread lock, scissors/knife, plastic
wire ties
Perform only when the unit is OFF
with power disconnected.
Turn power OFF at the main disconnect
switch.
Turn OFF the compressed air supply to
the unit and make sure the system is de-
pressurized.
Detach the air cylinders from both sides
of the transfer clamp assembly:
Remove the nut and bolt which secure
one end of the air cylinder to the jaw
(Figure 7-18, A). Save.
Remove the nut, bolt and flat washer
which secure the other end of the air
cylinder to the transfer clamp body
(B). Save.
Place the cylinder aside, with its air
hoses still attached.
Note which inlet the roller compressed
air hose (C) is connected to. Remove
the hose from its compression connec-
tion and cut its plastic wire tie.

Repeat Step 3 on the other side of the
clamp assembly.
Remove the four screws from the bottom
of the transfer clamp assembly (Figure
7-19).
Remove the entire assembly and place on
a work table.
Remove the roller assemblies and attach-
ing hardware, be careful to keep track of
the spacer underneath the compressed air
device (Figure 7-18, D). Save.
Remove the flexible nose piece and attach-
ing hardware. (Figure 7-18, E). Save.
