Lubricate Transfer and Upper
Spreader Rails
Required Tools
dry silicon lubricant, clean lint-free
cloth
Perform only when the unit is OFF
with power disconnected.
Turn power OFF at the main disconnect
switch.
Use a small amount of dry silicon lubricant
on a clean, dry, lint-free cloth and wipe the
left and right transfer carriage rails (Figure
4-4, A) after each 50 hours of operation.
Repeat Step 2 for the spreader carriage rail
(Figure 4-4, B).
Place a small amount of lubricant on the
cloth.
Wipe around the exposed outer portion of
the spreader rail grooved bearings (Figure
4-4, C).
Place a small amount of lubricant on the
cloth.
Work the carriage back and forth, lightly
holding the cloth so that the grooved bear-
ings (Figure 4-5) pick up the lubrication.
