Start Testing
To test any of the CHI Panel’s functions,
follow these first steps:
Locate the appropriate schematic(s).
Turn power OFF at the main disconnect
switch.
Open the right endframe door and locate
the I/O modules. During the test, the LED’s
will light to show the control signals.
WARNING
This safety interlock switch
is only to be defeated
temporarily while performing
this procedure. Never
operate the unit unless
all safety systems
are working correctly.
Serious Injury Could Result.
The unit will not operate while a safety
interlock switch is open. As a temporary
measure during this procedure, defeat the
door interlock switch by inserting one
of the switch keys that shipped with the
unit.
Perform only when the unit is
RUNNING.
Use extreme caution.
Make sure the compressed air supply to
the unit is ON.
Turn power ON at the main disconnect
switch and start the unit.
Test mode can only be entered if the
spread/feed system is off. Make sure no
STATION button is lit and the CHI Panel
display reads:

Press and hold the TEST button; then,
press the ENTER button. Release both
buttons. The SELECT TEST menu dis-
plays as follows:

IN12 TR12 SPR12 IRN SENSE
The flashing cursor is under the 1 of
IN12.
Press the CURSOR button until the flash-
ing cursor is under the desired adjustment
area:
IN1 is used to test the left inlet station.

TRN1 is used to test the left station

TRN2 is used to test the right station

IRN has no associated tests and appears
for display purposes only.
SENSE is the sensor activation test and
it used to check general sensor func-
tion, specific function and to properly
setup replacement sensors. See Sensor
