CAUTION
Use only light pressure on
the front of the air cylinder
to avoid damage to the
mounting bracket or the rear
mounting screws.
Press down lightly on the front of the
cylinder to expose the upper drive block
screws.
Loosen the four screws which secure the
drive blocks (Figure 7-74, A).
CAUTION
If the drive blocks cannot be
securely tightened against
the drive T, they are worn and
must be replaced.
Press the drive blocks tightly against the
drive T (Figure 7-74, B).
Tighten the drive block screws.
Reinstall the four screws which secure
the rodless air cylinder to its mounting
bracket.
Reconnect the forward air hose by press-
ing it firmly into the compression ring
fitting.

Tighten the Carriage Block
Required Tools
metric Allen wrench, small slotted
screwdriver, carriage block jam nut
tool or metric socket and vice grips
Perform only when the unit is OFF
with power disconnected.
If necessary:
Turn power OFF at the main discon-
nect switch.
Turn OFF the compressed air supply
to the unit.
Make sure the compressed air system
is depressurized.
Pull the station’s transfer clamp assem-
bly toward the center of the machine.
Remove the index clamp center plate from
the bottom of the carriage assembly (Fig-
ure 7-70) and place to the side.
Use a small slotted screwdriver to pry the
black plastic dust caps which cover the
carriage block eccentric cam adjustment
bolts (Figure 7-71, B).
Use the carriage block jam nut tool or a
metric socket held by vice grips to loosen a
carriage block jam nut (Figure 7-75, A).
