DOORS
Component su b -a sse m b lie s of cab doors, such
a s window re g u la to r, door lock, rem o te control,
vent window, and door window can be re p la ced
without n ec essity of rem oving door from cab. D oors
can be rem oved, however, without p r io r rem oval of
above com ponents. R em oval and installation of
door window g lass is d escrib ed la te r in th is section.
DOOR REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL
1. With the aid of an a ss ista n t to support
weight of door, rem ove the screw s which attach
hinge s tra p s to door. A ccess to one cap screw at
door upper hinge is gained by rem oving plug from
door in n er panel.
2. C arefully rem ove door assem bly from cab.
INSTALLATION
Attach door to hinge s tra p s with six cap sc rew s.
Adjust door in cab opening a s in stru cted la te r under
"D oor A djustm ents."
DOOR ADJUSTMENTS
Doors can be adjusted fo r alignm ent o r c le a r
ance in the cab door opening (fig. 6), and fo r p ro p e r
latching. Door alignm ent adjustm ents a r e made at
the s tr ik e r bolt, and a t door hinges. The door, when
pro p e rly located in door opening, will have equal
clea ran c e around its p e rim e te r.

REPOSITION DOOR "U P” OR "DOWN" (Fig. 7)
Door "up" and "down" adjustm ent in cab open
ing is p rovided by m eans of floating hinge cap
sc re w tapping p la te s within door fram in g . H ori
zontal slo tted cap sc re w holes in cab half of hinge
assem b ly provide the "in" o r "out" adjustm ent of
door.
1. Rem ove s tr ik e r bolt fro m cab p illa r.
2. Loosen h in ge-to-do or cap s c re w s slightly.
R eposition door on hinges to provide equal c le a r
ance around p e rim e te r of door in cab opening.
NOTE: A c cess to one cap sc re w at door upper
hinge is gained a fte r rem oving plug fro m door
in n er panel.
3. A fter s a tisfa c to ry adjustm en t h as been ob
tained, tighten hinge cap sc rew s firm ly . Open and
close door to check o peration. If n e c e s s a ry , re p eat
adjustm en t. In stall hinge cap sc re w a c c e s s plug in
door in n er paneling a fte r m aking final adjustm ent.
4. In sta ll s tr ik e r bolt and ad ju st a s d irec ted
la te r u n d er " S trik e r Bolt A djustm ent."
REPOSITION DOOR "FO R E" OR "A FT" (F ig. 7)
Only the u pp er p o rtio n of door can be adjusted
"fo re" o r "aft." This adjustm ent is m ade a t the
upper hinge. No m eans fo r th is adjustm en t ex ists
at the low er hinge.

slightly. A ccess to one cap sc re w a t door upper
