section  contains  procedures 

for 

the 

removal 

and 

installation  o f   face  b a r  ,  brackets,  brackes  and  license 
plate  brackets.

SERVICE  PROCEDURES—10  THRU  30  SERIES

F R O N T   B U M PER -C ,  K  A N D   P  M ODELS

Removal  Fig.  2B-1,  2B-2

1. 

Rem ove  bolts  securing  two  b u m p e r  brackets  to 

frame.

2. 

Rem ove  bolts  securing  b u m p er  face  bar  to 

fram e,  and  left  and  right  b u m p e r  brackes  and  remove 
b u m p e r  from   vehicle.

3. 

If  necessary,  disassemble  b u m p e r  by  rem oving 

bolts  attaching  brackets  and  brackes  to  b u m p er  face  bar.

4. 

If  e quipped  with  b u m p e r  guards  (Fig.  2B-2) 

remove  re m a in in g   nuts  and  bolts.

Installation

Assemble  and  install  front  b u m p er  following  the 

removal  procedure  in  reverse  order.

Removal

1. 

Remove  bolts  attaching  b u m p e r  to  each  b um per 

brace.  Disconnect  license  lamp  w iring  on  su b u rb a n   and 

panels  and  pickup.

2. 

Remove  bolts  attaching  b u m p er  to  frame.

3. 

Remove  b u m p e r  from  vehicle.

4. 

If  necessary,  replace  body  splash  shield.

Installation

Install  re a r  b u m p e r  following  removal  procedure  in
