NOTE:
When ra d ia to r re p a irs req u ire draining
and saving of the a n ti-fr e e z e , the follow in g p ro
cedure may be used to fa c ilita te draining past
lo w e r parts:
1. Cut a 1 foot (o r lo n g er if d esired ) p iece of 3/8 inch
I.D. hose.
2. Slip hose onto drain cock spout and route hose past
lo w e r parts.
3. Open cock and drain coolant into a clean container
— save fo r la te r r e fill.

Radiator Replacem ent
1. D rain rad iator and disconnect w ater hoses and P ow -
e rg lid e coolant line i f so equipped.
2. R em ove fin g e r guard, i f so equipped (fig. 3).
3. If veh icle is equipped with a fan shroud, rem ove
shroud attaching s c re w s and ca refu lly hang shroud
o v e r engine fan a ssem b ly to provide clearan ce fo r
ra d ia tor rem oval.
4. R em ove screw s attaching two reta in ers to radiator
and support and rem o ve retain ers.
5. L ift rad iator up out o f lo w e r mounts.
L ift shroud
out of veh icle if applicable.
6. Inspect lo w e r pads and reta in ers and rep lace if
necessary.
7. L o w e r shroud and ra d ia tor into position and secure
shroud with two lo w e r screw s.
8. In stall two re ta in ers at top of rad iator and shroud
with s ix screw s.
9. Connect rad iator hoses and tran sm ission coolant
lin e, f i l l cooling system and check fo r leaks.
10. R e fe r to torque sp ecifica tion s in re a r of manual fo r
c o r r e c t torque values.
PA 10 MODELS (Fig. 2)
Radiator Replacement
1. Drain rad iator and disconnect w ater hoses and Pow -
e rg lid e coolant line o f applicable.

2. R em ove mounting screw s attaching rad iator to sup
port and rem ove rad iator fro m veh icle.
3. R ep lace rad iator mounting components if necessary.

Install rad iator follow in g rem o va l procedu re in r e
v e r s e o rd e r. Connect rad iator hoses and tra n sm is
sion coolant lin e, f i l l cooling system and check fo r
leaks.
5. R e fe r to torque sp ecification s in re a r of manual fo r
c o r r e c t torque values.
P T 2 0-30 MODELS (Fig. 4 )
R adiator Replacem ent
1. Drain rad iator and disconnect w ater hoses at ra d ia
to r and surge tank.
2. R em ove screw s securing surge tank to rad iator
support and dash panel and rem ove fro m veh icle.
3. R em ove shroud attaching screw s and c a re fu lly hang
shroud o v e r engine fan assem bly to p rovid e c le a r
ance fo r rad iator rem oval.
