engines; and all diesel engine models. Joints must be of
the double-lap flare type, constructed as shown in Sec­
tion 5 of this manual under “ Hydraulic Brake Lines and
Tubing” .
FRAME MOUNTED FUEL FILTER
Frame mounted fuel filters are standard equipment on
P20-30, T40 and C-M -S-T 50-60 series vehicles. The
fuel filter element should be replaced at the recom­
mended mileage intervals outlined in Section 0, this
manual. Typical installation is shown in Figures 7 and
8 .
FUEL LINE RETAINER CLIP
Rem oval and Installation
If fuel pipes and retainer clips are removed, Tool
J-7777 should be used to install new retainer clips (fig.
9). After removal of the old clip from the frame, posi­
tion the new clip in the location of the old clip. Index the
“ blind rivet” and press hard (hand pressure should do) to
expand rivet.
