ward on the blower assembly to remove it.
8. Remove the nut attaching the blower wheel to the
motor shaft and separate the assembly.
Installation
1. Assemble the blower wheel to the motor with the
open end of the blower away from the motor.
2. Position the blower assembly below the opening in
the housing and lift the heater assembly until the
blower wheel will enter the opening. Lift the assem
bly into position and mount to the housing.
3. Connect the motor wire.

4. Replace core case brace to cowl panel screw and the
blower housing brace to cowl panel screw.
5. Replace the floor mat and connect the battery ground
cable.

BLOWER, CORE CASE, AND CORE ASSEMBLY
10-60 Series (Exc. Tilt Cab and Chevy Van)
Removal (Fig. 7)
1. Drain radiator.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Unclip the blower motor wire at the blower flange
terminal.
4. Disconnect heater hoses at the core tubes (fig. 8).
5. (Under dash) Remove the seal on the temperature
door cable at the distributor duct adapter and dis
connect the cable from the temperature door.
6. (10-30 Series) In order to gain access to the lower
outboard case attachments, the right front fender
skirt should be loosened and moved. Remove enough
skirt mounting screws and bolts (from the rear fo r
ward) to move the skirt a sufficient amount.
7. Remove the case retaining screws and sheet metal
nuts. Pull the case away from the mounting studs
and inboard to remove it.
8. Remove the screws attaching the core retainers to
the case and remove the core.
Installation
1. Replace the core in the case using non-hardening
sealer. Attach the core with the core retainers and
screws.
2. Remount the case to the firewall.
3. (10-30 Series) Replace and tighten the fender skirt
attaching screws and bolts.
4. Connect the temperature door cable to the door and
replace the seal.
5. Connect the heater hoses to the core tubes (the hose
to the water pump attaches to the upper core tube).
6. Connect the motor wire and battery ground cable.
7. Refill the Cooling System.
Chevy Van
Rem oval (Fig. 9)
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain the radiator.
3. Disconnect heater hoses below toe pan (fig. 10).
4. Remove glove box.
