1. Loop or tie the speed system cord (1) onto the patent shackle
as shown in the illustration on the right. Loop or tie the free
end of the separation system cord (2) to the belt chamber of
the separation carabiner.
2. To adjust the correct lengths of the speed system cord
and the separation system cord before takeoff, you need
a second person to help you. Put on the harness, connect
it to the paraglider risers and sit down on the ground.

Installation
The existing Brummel hooks on the speed system of the paraglider
are replaced by the supplied patent shackle rings. The Brummel
hooks must be unlooped and the patent shackle rings must be
looped in their place as shown below.

A speed system separation link is required to automatically
disconnect the speedbar after rescue parachute deployment when
separation carabiners are used.
This patent shackle separation system is recommended when the
existing Brummel hooks on the paraglider’s speed system cords can
be removed and replaced by the patent shackle rings included in the
delivery.
While the assisting person is holding up the risers, first
determine the correct length of the speed system cord on
the harness. Then set the separation system cord sufficiently
long so that it is not under tension at full acceleration.
