2. Status Indicator RAPs

 

RAP 2.12 Input Door Interlocks 

(Inline models only) 

Input 13 

The Tilt In-Feed Conveyor and the Elevator 
each have a door interlock wired together in se-
ries.  They are connected through the three-pin 
cable between the conveyor and elevator. 

Possible Fault Indicators 

 

Input door open

 is displayed when 

doors are closed 

Initial Actions 

Check that all accessory cables are securely 
connected.   

Check that all input doors are securely closed.   

Check for loose or broken wire 126 at the power 
panel. 

If trimmer is not equipped with an Elevator and 
Tilt In-Feed Conveyor, make sure the input 
mode is set properly on the trimmer. 

Procedure 

1.  Switch on the machine and enter sensor 

data mode.  Does the sensor data display 
(13-1)? 

Y  N 

Short wire 126 to 64 at the main PWB.  
Does the sensor data change to (13-1)? 

Y  N 

Disconnect main power and replace the 
main PWB (REP 4.22 Main PWB Re-
placement). 

Check the interlock circuit for loose wires 
126, 64.  Check for loose wires 65 in the ele-
vator and 127 in the tilt in-feed conveyor.  

Check the interlock switches for proper op-
eration.  Replace as necessary (PL 5.33 El-
evator 56421 (7/7)). 

2.  Disconnect wire 126 from the main PWB.  

Does the sensor data change to (13-0)? 

Y  N 

Disconnect main power and replace the 
main PWB (REP 4.22 Main PWB Replace-
ment). 

3.  Check the interlock circuit for shorted wires 

126, 64.  Check for shorted wires 65 in the 
elevator and 127 in the tilt in-feed conveyor.  
Check the interlock switches for proper op-
eration.  Replace as necessary (PL 5.46 Tilt 
Conv. Elec. EE-2993-3).
