2. Status Indicator RAPs

 

RAP 2.67 Stacker Door Interlock 

Stacker I/O PWB Input 1 

The top door on the Stacker is equipped with an 
interlock switch.  Opening this door will stop all 
movement in the trimmer and its accessories. 

Possible Fault Indicators 

 

“Stacker Door Open”

 message is 

displayed while the door is closed. 

 

The door is open, but the Stacker and 
trimmer continue to operate. 

 

The door is open, but no message is 
displayed on the screen. 

Initial Actions 

Check that all cables between the trimmer and 
Stacker are securely fastened and are not dam-
aged. 

Check that the top door on the Stacker is se-
curely closed.   

Check and repair loose or damaged wires 70 
and 74 at the Stacker electrical panel, and at the 
interlock switch. 

Procedure (does not operate with doors 
closed) 

1. 

Does the screen show a “Stacker door 
open” message? 

Y  N 

Cycle power OFF and then back ON.  Then 
go to the diagnostic screen (GP 6.2 In-
put/Output Diagnostics). Open the door.  Is 
a tone heard with each opening and clos-
ing? 

Y  N 

Disconnect power and replace the 
Stacker I/O PWB (REP 4.26 Accessory 
PWB Replacement). 

Disconnect power and replace the defective 
interlock switch (PL 5.62 Outfeed Stacker 
58000TCA (8/9)). 

2.  Check the operation of the interlock switch 

and make sure that the actuator is not de-
pressed when the door is closed, and is de-
pressed when the door is opened. Adjust if 
necessary (GP 6.10 Micro-Switches).  Does 
this solve the problem? 

Y  N 

Disconnect power and replace the defective 
interlock switch (PL 5.62 Outfeed Stacker 
58000TCA (8/9)). 

Repair complete. 

Procedure (operates with a door open) 

WARNING 

Do not operate the machine until this switch 
is replaced and functioning properly.  Failure 
to do so could allow the machine to operate 
in an un-safe state.  Serious injury may re-
sult. 

1.  Check the operation of the interlock switch 

and make sure that the actuator is not de-
pressed when the door is closed, and is de-
pressed when the door is opened. Adjust if 
necessary (GP 6.10 Micro-Switches).  Does 
this solve the problem?

Disconnect power and replace the defective 
interlock switch (PL 5.62 Outfeed Stacker 
58000TCA (8/9)).
