CMT-130TC Book Trimmer 

RAP 2.20 Pneumatic Pressure 

Input 19 

A pneumatic pressure switch is mounted to the 
electrical panel.  This switch indicates to the 
trimmer when compressed air is connected and 
switched on.  The trimmer will not run without 
compressed air connected and switched on. 

Possible Fault Indicators 

 

“No Air Pressure!” message 

is 

displayed. 

 

Trimmer is allowed to run even when 
the air pressure is switched off. 

 

One or more air cylinders are not func-
tioning properly. 

 

Poor cut quality due to low clamping 
pressure. 

Initial Actions 

Check that a compressed air line is connected to 
the trimmer, and is suppling compressed air at 
least 80 psi (for compressed air requirements 
and hookup, see Section 8.8 Main Air Hookup).   

Check that the main air valve at the back of the 
trimmer is switched on.  

Procedure 

1.  Read the main pressure gauge located at 

the rear of the machine.  Is input air pres-
sure at 80-90 psi? 

Y  N 

Check and repair the hoses between the 
main air connection and the main pressure 
regulator (inside the rear door and behind 
the main pressure gauge). 

Adjust main regulator to 80-90 psi using the 
control knob on the main regulator. 

2.  Check and repair hoses between the main 

regulator and the pressure switch port on 
the backside of the electrical panel. 

3.  Check and repair loose wires 60 and 74. 

4.  Switch the main power ON and go to the di-

agnostic screen (GP 6.2 Input/Output Diag-
nostics

). Is input “Pressure Switch” on? 

Y  N 

Short 

wire 60 to 74.  Does input “Pressure 

Switch” come on? 

Y  N 

Disconnect power and replace main 
PWB (REP 4.23 Main PWB Replace-
ment). 

Disconnect power and replace the switch 
(PL 5.16 Power Panel EE-3503 (1/2)). 

5.  Switch the air off at the main air valve.  Does 

input “Pressure Switch” switch off?

Disconnect wire 60. Does input “Pressure 
Switch” switch off? 

Y  N 

Disconnect power and replace the main 
PWB (REP 4.23 Main PWB Replace-
ment). 

Disconnect power and replace the switch 
(PL 5.16 Power Panel EE-3503 (1/2)). 

Repair complete.
