Description

The Central Model ELO LH Extra Large

Orifice Recessed Pendent and Pendent
Automatic Glass Bulb Sprinklers are
specifically designed for Extended Cover-
age/Light Hazard as defined by NFPA 13.
They are Listed as Quick Response, up to
18'x18' spacing, and as Standard Re-
sponse, above 18'x18' spacing.  The ELO
LH is Listed for smooth flat horizontal
ceilings as are all Extended Coverage
Light Hazard Sprinklers.

The ELO LH provides the maximum in

design flexibility as it has a minimum
separation of only 11'-0" and is Listed for
flows and pressures associated with
16'x16', 18'x18' and 20'x20' spacing.

They are intended for use with hydrauli-

cally designed systems using the flows
and pressures as shown in this literature.
For the purpose of determining the correct
flow and pressure to use in the hydraulic
calculations, all spacing is rounded up to
the next higher category.  For example,
17'-6"x15'-0" spacing would be calculated
at the Listed 18'x18' flow and pressure.

The advantage of the ELO LH is the

ability to cover large areas, up to 400
square feet, with pressures that compare
to

1

2

" standard sprinklers spaced at their

maximum of 225 square feet.  For ex-
ample, the ELO LH can cover 20'x20'
spacing or 400 square feet with less
pressure than is required with

1

2

" sprin-

klers at 225 square feet.  (12.3 vs. 16.1)

The Model ELO LH Sprinkler incorpo-

rates a specially designed deflector that
provides a much greater area of coverage
than standard commercial sprinklers.
The two (2) piece recessed escutcheon
assembly provides for

ment.
