3. 

DISINFECTION PROCEDURE 

Turn the device off and disconnect the power cord from mains  before proceeding with the 
disinfection. 

 

3.1 

Disinfecting the front lens 

Wipe  the  front  lens  using  photographic  cleaning  paper  (

e.g.  Edmund  Optics  NT53-984

)  or  a 

single-use microfiber cloth soaked in pure Isopropyl alcohol. Press lightly the wet cloth on the front 
lens surface. Starting from the center of the lens, wipe it with a circular movement, very slowly, only 
for one complete rotation. The exiting movement (i.e. moving away from the lens) has to be made 
radially, towards the border. Do not reuse the wiping cloth after one pass. 
Allow the lens to dry. 
 
 

3.2 

Disinfecting all other parts 

Disinfect the parts listed below using Isopropyl alcohol (solution >70%). 
Do not pour the disinfectant directly on the device, instead use a disposable towel to apply it. 

  silicone chin rest and forehead rest (do not remove them before disinfecting); 

  plastic covers, including the back panel of the tablet, the patient button and any cables; 

  any aluminum parts; 

  screen; 

  rear panel (see Fig. 2); 

 

Allow all surfaces to dry before turning on the device again. 

 

 

The  device  name  printed  on  the  plastic  covers  is  not  meant  for  frequent 
disinfections and may degrade if the process is repeated many times.

 

 
The  front  lens  is  not  meant  for  frequent  disinfections  and  its  anti-reflective 
coating may be permanently damaged if the process is repeated many times.
