Horizontal Configuration 

Note the test sample will need to be supported by a supplementary riser (not included with the 
UniVert) to use the compression test setup in the horizontal configuration. 

 

1.  Attach the Low Force Compression Platen to the M3 coupling nut and affix it to the 

Plastic M3 Tension Load Cell Bracket with an M3x8 SHCS and 2.5mm hex key 

 

 

2.  Attach the load cell to the above assembly with an M3x8 SHCS and 2.5mm hex key 

 

Finger tighten all components.  Beware of exerting excessive off-axis and torquing forces 
to avoid damage to the load cell. 

3.  Attach the load cell assembly to the baseplate with an M5x16 SHCS using a 4mm hex 

key
