“Enable” Function in static Unit
The “Enable” function can work in several ways
• from Digital input
• from Serial Port
• from Digital Input + Serial Port
• from FieldBus
• from Digital Input + FieldBus
To simplify in the various diagrams, the “enable” command from serial port will be represented by a “Software
contact” abbreviated as Sw

, and the command from digital input is abbreviated as Sw
H
.
13.1 Using Digital Input only
By setting the Digital Input as “Enable” it is possible to control the enable from Digital Input.
By closing the digital input via Sw
H
contact, the unit will be enabled and by opening the digital input the unit
will be disabled.
The status can be read on bit 2 of parameter 14 on the serial port.
If bit 2 = 1: Enabled
If bit 2 = 0: Disabled
