For RHEL 6.9:
a.
Boot into the OS, and press the E key. At the
grub edit>
prompt,
edit the kernel boot parameters by issuing the following command:
grub edit>
kernel /images/pxeboot/vmlinuz linux dd ip=ibft
b.
Press ENTER until you are prompted for the DUD.
c.
Unmount the RHEL 6.9 ISO image, mount the DUD, and load the
out-of-box drivers.
d.
After the out-of-box drivers are installed, remount the RHEL 6.9 ISO
image and complete the OS installation.
e.
In the GNU GRUB interface, select the
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.32...
entry, and then press the E key to
edit the kernel boot parameters.
f.
Issue the following command:
<BOARDTYPE=pc KEYTABLE=us rd_LVM_LV=vg_prebooteit/lv_root rhgb quiet selinux=0
For RHEL 7.2 and 7.3:
At the beginning of the installation, pass the following boot parameter with
the DUD option:
rd.iscsi.ibft inst.dd
For SLES 11 SP4 and SLES 12 SP1/SP2:
At the beginning of the installation, pass the following boot parameter with
the DUD option:
ip=ibft dud=1
5.
Install the OS on the target LUN.
