Fuel pre-filter
WARNING
Fire hazard!
When handling diesel fuel, observe the following precautions:
1. Do not smoke.
2. Never fill the tank when the engine is running.
3. Wipe up spilled fuel immediately.
Failure to comply could result in death or serious injury.

Replace the fuel pre-filter element every 500 h
The filter element may get clogged earlier than 500 h depending upon the quality of fuel, the integrity of filter, the
functionality of the supply system, or other not regular conditions. In these cases, the message FUEL FILTER
appears on the top of the display. Immediately stop machine operation, and replace the filter element in order to
avoid severe damages to the fuel system.
NOTICE: The filter must be replaced taking precautions so that any foreing material may get into the filter body or the
filter element. Failing to comply will lead to severe damages to the fuel supply system and to the fuel injection system.
NOTICE: Never reuse fuel that rests into the filter body. To clean the filter body, use clean diesel fuel only.
NOTICE: Use of fuel filters other than CASE CONSTRUCTION genuine components, is prohibited.
1. Close the fuel cut valve.

2. Place a container with an appropriate capacity below
the end of the drain hose (1) .
3. Loosen the drain plug (2) and the air bleed plug (3) , and
drain water from the pre-filter body.
4. Clean the area around the pre-filter body, and then re-
move it with the specific wrench supplied with the ma-
chine.
5. Install a new filter element. Replace the seal on the
pre-filter body, and then install the body on the pre-filter
head by turning it manually.
NOTICE: never fill the pre-filter body with fuel before the
installation.
