Marker light Indicator lamp - Testing (A.40.A.12.84 - G.40.A.20)

N° Test Point Expected Result Other Result (Possible Cause)
1 Terminal for wire 178G (B) to
ground.
Continuity Bad ground circuit.
2 Bulb Good Bad bulb.
3 Turn the key switch to the ON
position.
Push and release the light button on
the instrument cluster.
Terminal for wire 706B (P) to ground.
12 volts Check the circuit between the rear
position lamps and the light relay
No. 2. Also check the light relay No.
2.

N° Test Point Expected Result Other Result (Possible Cause)
1 Turn the key switch to the ON
position.
Instrument cluster pin 23 or 24 or
the terminal for wires 300G (R) or
300H (R) to ground.
Approximately 12 volts
Check the circuit between the
instrument cluster and the 15 amp
fuse in the primary fuse block. Also
check the 15 amp fuse in the fuse
block.
Also check the main power relay.
2 Push and release the ROAD lamp
button on the instrument cluster.
Instrument cluster pin 21 or the
terminal for wires 781A (P) to
ground.
Approximately 12 volts Bad instrument cluster output.
3 Push and release the WORK lamp
button on the instrument cluster.
Instrument cluster pin 22 or the
terminal for wires 782A (P) to
ground.
Approximately 12 volts Bad instrument cluster output.
