Engine - Engine and crankcase
Engine - Check - Oil Level
To check the engine oil level, proceed as follows.
1. Park the tractor on flat ground.
2. Shut down the engine.
3. Allow at least five minutes for the oil to settle in the
engine sump.
4. Unscrew and remove the cap (1) with the ”ENGINE
- OIL” label.
5. Clean dipstick with a cloth and replace it in the neck
filter
(2) .
6. Remove the cap again and check on the dipstick
that the oil level is between the " MIN" and " MAX"
marks.
7. If necessary, top up with CASE IH AKCELA
UNITEK NO. 1™ SBL CJ-4 SAE 10W-40 or
CASE IH AKCELA UNITEK NO. 1™ SSL CJ-4
SAE 0W-40
oil through the filler neck (2) to reach
the level.
8. Put the dipstick back into its filler neck and close it
properly.

A red warning light on the instrument panel shows when the oil level is low.
Do not fill past the MAX notch on the dipstick. Excess oil burns, creates smoke and gives a
false indication of oil consumption.
