Gate lock lever
The gate lock lever (safety bar) (1) prevents the opera-
tor from leaving the operator's seat without returning the
control arm to its correct position. The operator can leave
the operator's seat only after raising the gate lock lever
(safety bar) and the left side console.
To make it possible to operate the attachment, travel, and
swing functions again, lower the gate lock lever (safety
bar)
(1) .
NOTE: to start the engine, the gate lock lever (safety bar)
(1) must be moved in raised position. The engine cannot
be started with the gate lock lever (safety bar) in lower
position.

Cab internal lighting
The light is located on the left-hand cab upright and is
controlled by a three position switch set in the lamp base.
Positions: “On” (continuous operation), “Off” (shut-
down) and intermediate position goes off 30 s after
closing the door.
NOTICE: make sure that the lights are switched off after
use, otherwise the batteries may become discharged.
NOTE: to replace the bulb refer to page 6-74 .

Emergency exit hammer
Located on the left-hand cab, use the hammer (1) to break
the rear window, and then push the window strongly and
escape outside.
Consult your CASE CONSTRUCTION dealer for window
installation.
NOTICE: Do not break the rear window except when it is
absolutely necessary, such as to escape in an emergency.
NOTICE: Do not place anything in front of the window.
Doing so may obstruct an emergency escape.
