Processing Cables

1 Processing Cable Ends
To process a cable end with the settings displayed on the run screen, proceed as
follows:
1. Insert cable end to be stripped through the clamp jaws and through the wire
guide bushing until the cable stops against the blade. See Figure 5-1 below.
Note
: Safety guard removed for clarity
– unit will not process cables with safety
guard removed.

2. Press and release the Run/Stop switch located on the lower left front of the
machine.
3. The Model 75 clamp jaws will close on the cable and the unit will process the
cable end according to the data displayed on the screen.
4. When the clamp jaws open, remove the cable from the machine (see tip below).
Make sure no debris is caught in the end of the wire guide bushing.
Note
: If the
CYCLE COMPLETION MODE
is set for
AUTO
, the Model 75 will
wait for the amount of time programmed in
AUTO COMPLETION DWELL
) before completing the cycle and readying the unit for
the next cycle. This will give the operator time to remove the cable before the
cutter blade moves to the start position.
