counters. Both counters are separately re-settable to a zero count or pre-
settable to any amount.
The active mode is set by pressing the
key and positioning the blue data highlight
cursor over the
BATCH SIZE
data field and entering the desired value. The values in
AMOUNT DONE
and
TOTAL DONE
can also be edited at this time by positioning the
cursor over the desired field and pressing
to zero the counter, or by presetting a
new value with the number keys. Press the
key when finished to return to run
mode.
The following paragraphs describe the two modes of operation, and the use of the
AMOUNT DONE
and
TOTAL DONE
counters, in more detail.

1 Normal Mode
When the Model 75 is used in normal mode (batch size = 1), the function of both the
AMOUNT DONE
and
TOTAL DONE
counters is essentially the same. Each one will
increment once every complete strip cycle. Since both counters are independently pre-
settable, their use is flexible.
For example, the
TOTAL DONE
counter could be used to keep track of the total amount
of cable ends processed in a day, while the
AMOUNT DONE
counter could be reset to
zero at the start of each shift, to track shift totals.

2 Batch Mode
When the Model 75 is set for batch mode (batch size > 1), the
AMOUNT DONE
counter
is used to track the number of pieces completed in the current batch, while the
TOTAL
DONE
counter tracks the total number of pieces processed since it was last reset to
zero.
At the end of a batch, the Model 75 will alert the operator that the batch is complete by
displaying a message on the LCD display. It will also emit a beeping sound, and
request that the operator press
.
After pressing enter, the Model 75 will return to run mode, the run screen will be
displayed, the
AMOUNT DONE
counter will be reset to zero, and a new batch of
(
BATCH SIZE
) will begin. The Model 75 will continue to run in batch mode until
BATCH SIZE
is set to a value of one (1).
