: Remove the Blade Retaining Screws
11. Figure 3-12 shows a close-up view of the Model 75 cutter head with the cutter
blade removed.
12. To install the new blade, position the blade so that the flat side of the blade is
facing the front of the Model 75 and the oblong hole is located on the lower
locating pin. Next reverse steps 3
–5 and 7–10 above.
13.
Note
: Verify that the blade size marked on the flat side of the blade near the
round locating hole matches the value in the
CURRENT BLADE DIAMETER
data field. If the values do not match, enter the blade size marked on the new
blade or the blade packaging into the
CURRENT BLADE DIAMETER
data field
using the number keys.
14.
Be sure that the “X” locking screw is tight before proceeding to process cables.
15. When all of the steps above have been completed and the Lexan safety guard is
installed on the Model 75, press the
key to return to run mode. The Model
75 will auto-calibrate and will be ready to run.
16. Check the blade centering as instructed in
. It
is sometimes necessary to adjust the centering adjustment slightly after replacing
the cutter blade due to manufacturing tolerances.
Note
: Do not attempt to re-grind the cutter blade. Re-grinding will affect the
calibration and alignment of the unit.
