Maintenance and Cleaning
DANGER!
Risk of death by electric shock!
Disconnect the label printer from the mains supply
and wait for a moment until the power supply unit
has discharged.
NOTICE!
When cleaning the label printer, personal protective equipment
such as safety goggles and gloves are recommended.
Maintenance task
Frequency
General cleaning (see section
9.1, page 88).
As necessary.
Clean the print roller (see
section 9.2, page 88).
Each time the label roll is
changed or when the printout and
label transport are adversely
affected.
Clean the printhead (see
section 9.3, page 88).
Each time the transfer ribbon is
changed or when the printout is
adversely affected.
Clean the label photocell (see
section 9.4, page 89).
When exchanging the label roll.
Replace the printhead (see
section 9.5, page 91).
In case of errors in printout.
Replace the print roller and
rewind roller (see section 9.6,
page 93).
When printout and label transport
are adversely affected.
NOTICE!
The handling instructions for the use of Isopropanol (IPA) must
be observed. In the case of skin or eye contact, immediately
wash off the fluid thoroughly with running water. If the irritation
persists, consult a doctor. Ensure good ventilation.
WARNING!
Risk of fire by easily inflammable label soluble!
When using label soluble, dust must be completely
removed from the label printer and cleaned.
NOTICE!
For adjustments and simple installation work, use the
accompanying hexagonal wrench located in the bottom section
of the print unit. No other tools are required for the work
described here.
