CL-MCSFP-16 Installation Guide

CL-MCSFP-16 is a plug-and-play media converter hub with sixteen TX-SFP
pairs. TX ports supports 100/1000Mbps, full duplex mode. SFP port supports
100Mbps or 1000Mbps SFP module. CL-MCSFP-16 will auto-detect link
speed on SFP port, and set TX port to the same operation mode. If SFP port
link down, TX port will also force to link down.
Installation
1. Connect AC/DC power to CL-MCSFP-16. “
Power
” LED will be ON.
2. Insert SFP module.
3. Connect cable to SFP module. The “
Link/Speed/Act
” LED of the port will
be ON if another side of the cable is connected and ready for link up.
4. Connect cable to TX port of the TX-SFP pair. The “
Link/Speed/Act
” LED
of the port will be ON if the following conditions are ready.
1. another side of the cable is connected and ready for link up.
2. SFP port is already link up. (*
SFP port must link up first before TX
port link up
.)
3. TX port is link up at
the same speed of SFP port
. (*Connecting to
Gigabit Ethernet port will be link up at 1000Mbps or 100Mbps -
depending on SFP port link up speed. Connecting to Fast Ethernet
port will be link up at 100Mbps only.)
5. Check “
Link/Speed/Act
” LED of TX and SFP ports. They should be ON
and have the same color (
Green
for 1000Mbps,
Yellow
for 100Mbps).
Then, the TX-SFP pair is ready to work.
6. Repeat
Step 2 ~ 5
for another TX-SFP pair installation.

The port is link down.
