Patients
Usually, additional patient files and updates to existing files come via your
facility’s ADT computer interface or pharmacy profile interface (if the profile
option is activated). However, there are procedures that you can perform using
The Pyxis MedStation system to use existing files. Patient information is entered
by your facility. Information can be entered for temporary patients at the station,
not the console.
Adding a patient file
The following procedure explains how to create a patient’s record.
1. Select
System Setup > Patients
.
2. In the Patients dialog box, click
Add
.
The New Patient Setup dialog box appears with the Location tab selected.
3. In the upper section of the dialog box, enter the following:
• First Name —Enter the user’s first name in this field (up to 20
characters).
• Last Name —Enter the user’s last name in this field (up to 20 characters).
