WIND BRACE
12-VOLT AWNING INSTRUCTIONS
THE ONE-TOUCH WIND BRACES STORE
SEPARATELY AND ARE INTENDED TO BE USED IN
WINDY CONDITIONS. FOR YOUR BEST
PROTECTION, IF YOU INTEND TO LEAVE YOUR
VEHICLE WITH THE AWNING OUT, IT IS
ALWAYS GOOD TO PUT THE WIND BRACES INTO
PLACE. THE USE OF THE WIND BRACES ELIMI-
NATES USING ANY WIND TIE DOWN STRAPS.
FOLLOW THESE STEPS FOR PROPER
INSTALLATION.
STEP 1:
PLACE THE SADDLE OF THE WIND
BRACE UNDER THE PIVOTING AREA OF THE
AWNING BRACES AS SHOW AT THE RIGHT.
STEP 2.
WITH THE BRACE POSITIONED AS SHOWN
BELOW, SLIDE DOWNWARD UNTIL THE BRACE
BOTTOMS OUT ON THE INSIDE OF THE ARM CHANNEL
AND MAKES CONTACT DOWN AGAINST THE TOP OF
THE ARM COVER AS SHOWN BELOW RIGHT. THE
SPRING IN THE WIND BRACE SHOULD BE AT LEAST
SLIGHTLY COMPRESSED AT THIS POINT.
SLIDE DOWNWARD
WHILE HOLDING THE
SADDLE UNDER THE
BRACE AS SHOWN.
WIND BRACE
BOTTOMED OUT
AGAINST INSIDE
OF ARM AND
RESTING DOWN
AGAINST THE TOP
OF ARM COVER.
SPRING SHOULD
BE AT LEAST
SLIGHTLY
COMPRESSED AT
THIS POINT.
STEP 3:
TO OBTAIN PROPER TENSION ON THE
WIND BRACE IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO ADJUST
THE BRACE BY PUSHING INWARD ON THE SPRING
BUTTON AND LOCATING IT IN A DIFFERENT HOLE,
EITHER DECREASING OR INCREASING THE OVER-
ALL LENGTH OF THE BRACE. (SEE LOWER LEFT)
PROPER ADJUSTMENT IS WHEN THE SPRING IS AT
LEAST SLIGHTLY COMPRESSED WHEN THE BRACE
IS IN THE POSITION AS SHOWN DIRECTLY BELOW.
