• Placement too close to electrosurgery equipment.
Waveforms can be used to troubleshoot problems with equipment or monitor configuration, as well as
to monitor a patient’s clinical status. The following are examples of common problems identifiable
through waveform analysis. These are examples only and do not represent all potential abnormal
waveforms. Abnormal waveforms are not always associated with alarms.
