Pilots conducting an approach based on QNH shall be passed the aerodrome/
threshold elevation before commencing the final descent.
1.11.4
If the pilot reports visual in the early stages of the approach he will be asked whether
he wishes to continue the SRA. Normally aircraft will not be transferred to aerodrome
control until after they have completed the SRA approach and have landed.
1.11.5
The range at which the descent begins depends on the altitude or height of the
aircraft during the intermediate phase and the angle of the glide path.
