Cutting System
Cutting Blades
• Blades and cutting rotor stay may become sharp due to wear and cause injury
such as cut on hands. When replacing blades, wear thick gloves and handle
carefully.
• Do not apply force when removing blade. Blade can move unexpectedly and
cause injury. When it is difficult to remove blade from stay, remove foreign
object around stay, wash blades and rotate blade to remove.
• Stop engine and remove ignition key when servicing.
• Allow machine to cool off before servicing. Engine and its ancillaries are very
hot after operation and may pose a burn hazard.
• When a blade is damaged, replace it and the other blade immediately. Always
replace blades in pair. Damage due to vibration may occur.
• When replacing blades, replace pins for blades and wave washers with new
ones. Blades may be thrown out due to worn pins.
• Always check wear of cutting rotor stay. Replace cutting rotor stay if it wears
beyond wear limit, damaged or deformed. Cutting rotor stay may break and
thrown out blade.
