Turning the Camcorder On and Off

The camcorder has two operating modes: CAMERA (

) mode for making recordings and MEDIA (

) 

mode for playing back recordings.

To turn the camcorder on/off

Press and hold the button on the 

Q

 switch and set the 

switch to ON to turn on the camcorder in 

 mode. Set it 

to OFF to turn off the camcorder.

To turn on the camcorder in 

 mode

Press and hold both the MEDIA button and the button on the 

Q

 switch and set the switch to ON to turn on the 

camcorder directly in 

 mode.

To change the operating mode

Press the MEDIA button to switch the camcorder back and 
forth between 

 mode and 

 mode.
