Built-In Microphone Directionality  

                        

Set the audio input switch in the handle to 
[INT] adjust the direclionality direclionality.

Select the desired option & touch [X].

[Monaural] Mono. Emphasizes sound coming 
 

from the front.

[Norm] Default - Stereo. Between [Wide] and 
 

[Monaural] settings in reach.

[Wide] Stereo. For ambient sounds over a 
 

large area-adds to the sense of presence.

[Zoom] Stereo. Sound linked to the zoom 
 

position. The larger the subject appears 

 

on the screen, the louder and more 

 

focused the sound will be.

Using the Touch Screen  

                         

Buttons and menus change depending on 
operating mode and task.

Touch
Press on the touch screen firmly.  You 
may not be able to perform touch opera-
tions correctly...... 
- Using your fingernails or hard-tipped 
objects such as ballpoint pens.
- Operating the touch screen with wet Of   
gloved hands.

Drag
While applying pressure, swipe your finger 
up and down or left and right across the 
screen. Used to scroll menus, browse and  
adjust controls button and sliders.

Selecting the Frame Rate 

                   

Number of frames/fields per second that 
will be recorded.
OPEN:  [FUNC.] > [MENU] >           >

Rate]

 

Select the desired option & touch [X].

Progressive Option: - Recommended option
[24P] 24 fps (frames per second), Progres-
sive. Using this frame rate will achieve a 
cinematic look.

Other Options:
[60i] 60 fps. Standard interlaced field rate.

[PF30] progressive/interlaced
 hybrid.

[PF24] progressive/interlaced
 hybrid.

 

    

 

[2] Insert SD Card into slot B  

                

Memory card must be in the 
UNLOCK position to record new 
files to the card. 8GB (or
more) SD, SDHC or SDXC
class 10 or UHS class 1
memory cards prefered.

1] With camcorder off.
2] Open the slot cover.
3] Insert the memory card
 

straight into memory slot B.

4] Gently close the cover.

Removing a Memory Card         
Push card in and it will eject.

[3] Connect Headphones.
[4] Select The Operating Mode.
[5] Check your Mic/Audio Input Switch.
[6] Turn on the Camera.
[7] Load/Set Your Menu Settings.
[8] Press START/STOP to Start Recording.
[9] Adjust Audio Levels.
[10] Press START/STOP to Stop/Pause.
