Packaging, storage, and unpacking guidelines

Storage conditions influence the moisture percentage and the temperature of the media. Media
are very sensitive to environmental changes which cause curls, wavy edges, tight edges, and
other imperfections. A sudden increase in the relative humidity in the storage room can cause
wavy edges. A sudden decrease in temperature can result in tight edges.

• Place pallets, cartons or reams away from heating applian-
ces, water pipes, open windows, moist walls, or direct sun-
light.
• Place cartons and reams on pallets, shelves or in cabinets.
Do not place them on the floor.

and materials such as plastics, rubber parts, and fats.
