Chapter 6 Troubleshooting

Aligning the print head

When you install a new Printhead, every time you remove
a Printhead from the printer, or if you notice streaking in
printed photographic images, align the print head. The
printer will not print correctly if the print head is not
aligned.

1 Make sure the printer is switched on and set one

sheet of plain paper in the sheet feeder.

Raise the paper thickness lever to the

mark.

Follow this procedure to print a print head alignment pattern and align the print head.
