Connecting to a Serial Port (COM Port)
1.
Shut down the computer and turn the camera’s mode dial to the Off
position.
2.
Attach the supplied serial cable to a serial port on the computer and to
the camera’s DIGITAL terminal as shown below.
• Please consult your computer’s manual for the location of the serial port.
3.
Turn on the computer and start Windows.
Precaution for Unplugging Cables from the
DIGITAL Terminal

1. Open the DIGITAL terminal
cover by slipping a
fingernail under the top
edge and pulling down.
2. Insert the cable so that the marks on
the cable and camera align.
Always press the [PUSH] button on the connector to
detach the cable from the camera’s DIGITAL terminal.
