By panning, you can shoot blurred backgrounds that convey a
sense of speed.
The camera will detect blurring of the subject and correct it, so you
can reduce blurring of the subject.

Follow steps 1 – 2 in “Specific

Shoot.

Before shooting, with the shutter
button pressed halfway, move
the camera so that it follows the
subject.
z
With the moving subject in the
center of the screen, press the
shutter button all the way down.
z
Move the camera so that it
continues to follow the subject
even after you have pressed the
shutter button all the way down.

Try taking some test shots first, to make sure you obtain the
desired results.
