3.5.4 Deck Separation Roller
3.5.4.1 Removing the Deck Separation Roller

1) Free the deck from its host machine, and remove the 2 screws [1] and the
separation roller support plate [2].

2) Detach the pickup roller [1] from the holder [2].

3) Detach the shaft [1] in the direction of the arrow.

The urethane sponge segment of the deck separation roller is pink imme-
diately after foaming; it changes in color from pink to orange and then to
yellow as time passes, accelerated if exposed to light. This is a general
characteristic of a urethane sponge, and will not affect its performance.
The part is not identified by its color, and there are not multiple parts clas-
sified according to color.
3.6 Electrical System
3.6.1 Deck Driver PCB
3.6.1.1 Removing the Deck Driver PCB

1) Remove the left rear cover.
2) Remove the rear cover.
3) Disconnect the 8 connectors [1], and remove the 4 screws [2]; then, detach
the deck driver PCB [3].

1) Open the compartment.
2) Remove the front cover (upper).
3) Remove the 2 screws [2] from inside the front cover (upper) [1], and de-
tach the open switch PCB [3].
